Short description
As part of this project, substance input modelling for Luxembourg was continued using updated input data, and substance inputs for the period 2020–2022 were recalculated. A key focus was the revision of the analytical areas used in MoRE, so that they will better represent surface water bodies in the future.
To ensure comparability with previous modelling work, all input data for the period 2015–2019 were also transferred to the new spatial units, and the calculations were adjusted accordingly. In addition, the plausibility check of the results was further developed by using monitoring stations near the border to estimate substance inputs from abroad. This made it possible to represent the calculation of total loads in surface water bodies more realistically and to improve the assessment of pollution pressures.
